연구 목적 및 필요성
본 연구는 애니메이션이나 드라마와 같은 국내 방송 콘텐츠의 경쟁력을 보다 높이기 위해서 정부가 할 수 있는 일이 무엇인가를 도출하기 위해, 지금까지의 논의 및 실태를 검토, 분석하고, 이와 같은 상황에서 우리나라와 유사한 정책을 펼치고 있는 다른 나라의 사례를 벤치마킹하여, 국내에 적용 가능한 방안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다

연구의 구성 및 범위
제1장 서론 부분에서는 본 연구의 필요성 및 목적, 전체 보고서의 구성 및 내용, 그리고 연구 방법에 대해 설명했다. 제2장에서는, 국내 방송 콘텐츠의 방영 및 해외 유통 실태를 살펴보고자 했다. 이를 통해, 각 콘텐츠의 경쟁력이 어느 정도인지, 그리고 어느 부분에서 지원이 필요한지를 알 수 있을 것이다. 제3장에서는 이들 콘텐츠의 경쟁력 제고를 위해, 다른 나라에서 어떠한 정책을 펼치고 있는지를 살펴보았다. 앞서 언급한 것과 같이, 본 연구의 목적이 정부의 역할이라는 점을 감안한 것이다. 제4장은 연구결과에 해당하는 부분으로, 제2장과 제3장에서 얻어진 지식을 토대로 우리나라에 적용 가능한 방안을 제시하고자 했다. 방안은 최대한 다양하게 제시하려고 노력했으며, 각 방안마다 장점을 제시했다.
마지막으로, 제5장에서는 결론(정책적 제안, 기대효과 및 한계)을 제안했다.
