The Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI) and the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of Cambodia (MPTC) co-held Final Workshop for KISDI Consultation Project in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on October 17, 2011.
Executive Director Bo-Hyun Seo of International Cooperation Division, KISDI, Research Fellow Dong-Min Yim of Broadcasting and Spectrum Policy Research Division, KISDI, Director Yong-Seok Choi, ETRI and Princial Researcher Gwang-Moon Park, ETRI introduced key issues concerning the spectrum industry and spectrum management in major countries including Korea. Discussions followed over Cambodia's current spectrum management, policy alternatives and development measures.
This consultation project provided a foundation for the MOM between Central Radio Management Office of Korea and Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of Cambodia which was concluded on the day in the presence of relevant officials including Undersecretary of State Touch Heng and Deputy Director Chakrya Moa at MPTC. MPTC Minister So Khu said he expected this newly-signed MOM and Consultation Project to serve as a starting point for active cooperation between Korea and Cambodia.
