The Korean Information Society Development Institute (KISDI, President Kwon Ho-yeol) was awarded the Innovative Institution Award at the award ceremony of the 2020 Research Institution Evaluation held at the Sejong National Research Complex on Monday, May 17. The report titled Research on Recognition of Broadcasting Similarity of OTT Video Services by Kim Nam-doo, a research fellow of the Broadcasting Media Research Division, was selected as an ‘excellent research report’, while the 'establishment of a national policy for ethical artificial intelligence' by Moon Jung-wook, Director of Center for AI & Social Policy, was selected as an outstanding national policy contribution task.
The National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences conducts annual research institution evaluations to promote excellence among the country’s research institutions and to seek new development directions based on the results, with the aim of elevating the mission performance to a higher level. In addition, the results of the evaluations are compiled into a booklet of best practices for use as learning opportunities in order to improve research excellence and promote management innovations, and a briefing session is held to share the best practices.
