KISDI (President Kwon Ho-Yeol) has successfully completed its ICT career exploration education program for students in the Chungcheongbuk-do, which was provided as a part of its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Management Promotion Plan, with the aim of supporting local community development.

The career exploration education program was started with the aim of providing high school students with diverse perspectives on their dreams about the future, jobs in the era of the Industry 4.0, the ICT industry, and professional knowledge through in-depth education. Beginning with the first session in May 2021, five sessions were held over a six-month period.

Based on the knowledge of theory and policy-making processes related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution that they learned in sessions 1 to 4, in the last and fifth session, the students gave presentations on their feelings about the program and their future plans. In the presentation session, one student said, "It was great to learn about and experience in-depth contents that we would never learned about in school." Flying drones and participating in drone soccer matches were immersive learning experiences that were put on hold due to the government’s ‘With Covid-19’ policy. But by including these events after the lectures, the career exploration education program was concluded with a successful finale.

Before the formal adoption of the high school credit system in 2025, programs like this will provide in-depth ICT-related education to students in the local community. In that sense, the program's ripple effects on the training of human talents and regional development will be tremendous. A representative from the Eumsong Office of Education said, “Based on the career exploration education provided voluntarily by KISDI in 2021, we will work hard to make this educational event an official program in 2022.”

KISDI, which conducts leading research into ICT broadcast policies for the Digital New Deal era, is committed to creating social value, such as contributing to the development of local communities, and to researching national policy development
