On May 30 (Mon), during a written meeting of the Korea Communications Commission (Chairman Han Sang-hyuk), Jung Yong-chan, head of KISDI’s Center for Data Analysis and Forecasting, was appointed as a member of the Korea Communications Commission's 7th Media Diversity Committee, which is headed by Kim Hyo-jae, the chairperson of the committee.
The Media Diversity Committee is a statutory committee established under Article 35-4 of the Broadcasting Act, which is responsible for estimating the audience shares of broadcasters and developing a combined influence index between different media.
The nine members of the Media Diversity Committee (including Jung Yong-chan, head of Center for Data Analysis and Forecasting) are experts with abundant expertise and experience in media, statistics, management, economy, and law. Their term of office is two years (June 11, 2022 ~ June 10, 2024).
