To mark its 40th anniversary, the Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI, President Sangkyu Rhee) held the “KISDI AI Lecture with Local Residents” on July 30 (Wed) at the Main Auditorium of the Chungbuk Innovation City Complex Innovation Center.
The lecture, presented by Jiyoung Lee, explored the theme “Ethics in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.”
Lee graduated with honors from the Department of Ethics Education at Seoul National University, where she also earned her master’s degree and is currently pursuing her doctorate.
She previously served as a special professor at the UNIST Graduate School of Artificial Intelligence and as an EBS lecturer in social studies (2009–2019). Drawing on her experience in both academia and media, she has been actively communicating AI and ethics issues to the public in accessible ways.
During the lecture, Lee introduced the social changes and ethical challenges driven by AI advancement and led an engaging discussion with local residents on the values and norms that society must foster in the AI era. The event was attended by residents of Chungbuk Innovation City and KISDI staff, who together explored ways to respond responsibly to the rapid spread of AI.
