■ Event: The 13th Korea Media Panel Academic Conference
■ Date: November 7, 2025
■ Venue: Melon Hall, 5th Floor, Spotime, Yangjae-dong, Seoul

The Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI, President Sangkyu Rhee) held the 13th Korea Media Panel Academic Conference at Spotaime in Yangjae-dong on November 7.

The conference marked the thirteenth academic gathering organized to provide raw data from the Korea Media Panel Survey, launched in 2010, to academia, research institutes, industry, and policy authorities, and to share related research outcomes.

The Korea Media Panel Survey is a nationally approved statistical survey conducted to examine mid- to long-term changes in media consumption among Korean households and individuals in a rapidly changing media environment. Since its first implementation in 2010, the survey has reached its 16th year. As the only panel survey in Korea’s media sector tracking the same households and individuals over time, its accumulated data have been widely used by domestic and international researchers studying broadcasting and media.

A total of 16 papers were scheduled for presentation at this conference, including 13 general papers and three award-winning graduate student papers. Researchers from diverse fields—including journalism and communication, economics, technology management, and statistics—participated in presentations and discussions on empirical research covering a range of perspectives and topics in the media field.

Presentations were organized into six sessions: technology adoption in the AI era; digital technology and consumer behavior; sharing outcomes of major panel surveys and innovations in survey methodology; characteristics of AI users; digital media use and information production; and presentations of outstanding graduate student papers.
