KISDI Concludes Book Discussion Session for AI and Digital Era Education Program with Dongseong High School

The Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI, President Sangkyu Rhee) announced that it successfully concluded the fourth session of the KISDI–Dongseong High School Education Program on July 9. The session featured a book discussion for students from Dongseong High School in Chungbuk Innovation City.

The KISDI–Dongseong High School Education Program is a 10-session participatory educational initiative designed to encourage students to explore social issues emerging in the era of artificial intelligence and digital transformation and to consider policy-based approaches to addressing them. The first three sessions consisted of lectures delivered by KISDI researchers, providing students with an accessible introduction to policy research and major issues shaping the digital society.

The fourth session was conducted in the format of a book café discussion. Drawing on reading materials covering topics such as the relationship between artificial intelligence and humans, social changes driven by technological advancement, and ethical issues, students exchanged perspectives and examined key issues related to the AI and digital era from multiple viewpoints.

The discussion focused in particular on the impact of artificial intelligence technologies on individuals and society. Students explored related challenges and discussed possible approaches to addressing them, while developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills that are essential in the AI and digital era.

KISDI plans to continue offering the education program to help students deepen their understanding of the AI and digital era and strengthen their capacity for career exploration.
