The Korean Information Society Development Institute (KISDI, President Kwon Ho-yeol) and the Korea Employment Information Service (president Na Young- don) signed a business agreement to study data-based ICT job support plans on May 4 (Tues.) at the Korea Employment Information Service in Chungbuk Innovation City.

Under this business agreement, KISDI, a policy leader in the information communication and broadcasting sector, and the Korea Employment Information Service, which forecasts national manpower supply and demand, will collaborate in the following areas: ▲ research on job mobility support measures and exchange of information based on an analysis of the inter-industry and intra-industry mobility of ICT manpower; ▲ joint research and agenda discovery in ICT human resources-related fields; ▲ joint seminars and workshops; and ▲ the exchange of research results, etc.

The signing ceremony was attended by KISDI President Kwon Ho-yeol, director of the Planning and Coordination Division, Lee Jae-young, and director of ICT statistics information research department, Jeong Hyun-joon, and Korea Employment Information Service president Na Young-don, director of the Research Division, Kim Han-joon, and director of Big Data Center, Kim Gyun.

As the pace of digital transformation accelerates, the importance of data is increasing, and the importance of job mobility support is growing due to the rapid changes in the industrial structure brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. In this regard, it is expected that the two organizations will contribute to ICT job policy by sharing data and cooperating on research.
