Researcher Shin Woo-cheol of the ICT Data Science Research Division at the Korean Information Society Development Institute (KISDI, President Kwon Ho-yeol) received a commendation from the Minister of Science and ICT on April 21, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to improving statistical quality while conducting research and analysis of ICT statistics, at the ‘2020 Minister's Commendation on National R&D Performance Evaluation (Policy) Merit’. 
Researcher Shin Woo-cheol, employed at the Korean Information Society Development Institute since 2015, participated in the establishment of a statistical production system related to the planning, adjustment, and evaluation of ICT statistics of the Ministry of Science and ICT. Notably, he helped to standardize and improve the quality of more than thirty types of ICT statistics by reorganizing the integrated ICT classification system and establishing and operating the ICT integrated parent population among other tasks.
