International Cooperation Research Division
The International Cooperation Research Division is composed of the Department of Multilateral Cooperation Research and the Department of Development Cooperation Research.

Multilateral Cooperation Research
- The Department of Multilateral Cooperation Research supports the establishment of government response strategy and cooperation tasks associated with ICT-related issues in multilateral, international organizations, such as ITU (International Telecommunication Union), OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development), and G20. Furthermore, the department analyzes major issues regarding broadcasting institutes (e.g. AIBD) and ICT related issues in Asia-Pacific organizations such as APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation), ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), APT (Asia-Pacific Telecommunity), and UNESCAP (UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific) and supports government response.
- The department also conducts trade issues research related to WTO, FTA, e-commerce, and digital trade. Lastly, it analyzes and supports related trade negotiations.

Development Cooperation Research
- The Department of Development Cooperation Research, following annual International development cooperation implementation plan according to the Framework Act on International Development Cooperation, performs consultations and cooperative program about telecommunication and broadcasting policies in collaborative countries including developing countries.
- The department also conducts research on ODA (Official Development Assistance) strategies in the fields of ICT.
- Furthermore, the department undertakes projects related to the exchange and cooperation between South and North Korea.
- These projects are performed in accordance with the Inter-Korean Exchange and Cooperation Act and Article 22 of the Framework Act on Broadcasting Communications Development.
