Editorial Meeting for “ICT World Today”

KISDI and UN-APCICT Launch a Quarterly Journal, "ICT World Today" in March 2008
Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI, President Hoick Suk) and Asia Pacific Training Center for Information Communication Technology (UN-APCICT, Director Hyun-suk Rhee) held an editorial meeting for "ICT World Today" at KISDI on March 6th. The first issue of the journal, which is to introduce the latest worldwide trend in information communication and technology (ICT) as a way of bridging digital divide in developing countries, is published in March 2008.
Dr. Hoick Suk, KISDI president, Dr. Bo-hyun Seo, executive director of Planning and Coordination Office, KISDI, Dr. Chulwan Kim, executive director of International ICT Cooperation Research Division, KISDI, and three other KISDI persons in charge attended the meeting with Dr. Hyun-suk Rhee, director of UN-APCICT and Mr. Ki-kwon Kim, deputy director of UN-APCICT. The participants reviewed the draft of the first issue of "ICT World Today" and its future publication plans, having an in-depth discussion on how to promote cooperation between the two institutes.
"ICT World Today," co-published by KISDI and UN-APCICT, is to be issued on a quarterly basis. The journal will be distributed to government agencies, colleges and universities, research institutes, international organizations worldwide as well as those in developing countries. The launch of the quarterly journal is expected to help develop the economies and enhance the quality of life in developing countries by introducing ▲ ICT policies of the leading countries, ▲ measures of addressing digital divide, and ▲ successful case studies on human resource development.
