France’s IT Delegation Visited KISDI, Discussing the High-speed Communications Service and the Broadcasting & Telecommunications Convergence
France’s IT delegation, made up of France’s IT representatives including Yves GASSOT, CEO of IDATE, Gabrielle GAUTHEY, Commissioner of ARCEP, and Francoise ROURE, Chairman of CGTI, visited the Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI) on July 9, having a meeting with Bo-hyun Seo, the acting president of KISDI.
Dr. Seo introduced Korea’s state-of-the-art broadcasting and telecommunications policies, providing a comparative analysis on the two countries’ high-speed communication services. He offered a general opinion about the broadcasting & telecommunications convergence, while underscoring the need to implement Korea’s advanced broadcasting & telecommunications policies in France.
In addition, other KISDI senior researchers including Dr. Sang-yirl Nam, Dr, Bum-jin Jang, Dr. Hang-sub Choi, and Dr. Minsoo Park discussed France’s high-speed communications services, the broadcasting & telecommunications convergence witnessed in Korea, and the high-speed communications services including Wibro, fiber optic networks, and 4G.
The attendees enjoyed the chance of sharing Korea’s advanced broadcasting and telecommunications policies as well as France’s invaluable expertise and experience in the area.
