Dr. Dong-Wook Kim was inaugurated as the 10th President of the Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI) on September 14 and officially started his job as a new president. At his inaugural ceremony, which was held at KISDI Grand Auditorium, President Kim said “since its foundation in 1985, KISDI has grown fast and now reached a maturity stage.
I feel a great responsibility as I take office at a time when KISDI is beginning to bear fruit in earnest with its accumulated research capabilities and expertise.” He emphasized, “I plan to make every effort to lead KISDI to provide insightful policy alternatives in a new broadcasting and communications environment and support the establishment of necessary system along with the Korea Communications Commission and government.” He added, “It requires every KISDI member’s new way of thinking and acting not only in policy research but also in every aspect of our work. Therefore, we need to create a new value, principal and practice beyond the conventional framework.”
