Dr. Kim Do-Whan was inaugurated as the 11th President of the Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI) on March 31 and officially started his job as a new president.

At his inaugural ceremony, which took place at the institute’s main conference room, President Kim said, “The no. 1 priority of the government’s national strategies is to build a creative economy, and ICTs, as a new growth engine of the digital economy, will be the key to achieving the goal.” “I will make sure that KISDI’s policy research activities and policy support functions are expanded and strengthened in line with the government’s vision and philosophy so that the institute can contribute to the implementation of the national strategies,” he added.
“To this end,” he stressed, “KISDI needs to reinforce its research activities and policy support, especially on topics of the country’s transition to the creative economy, national informatization, and the development of the domestic telecom and broadcasting markets.”
