Dr. Seo Bo-hyun of the Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI) attended the TEIN4 Project Meeting, the 7th TEIN*CC Governors Meeting, and the Joint APAN (Asia Pacific Advanced Network)-TEIN workshop held from March 1 in Fukuoka, Japan as a representative of Korea.
Lellis Braganza of the European Community (EC), Mary Fleming, Chair of the TEIN Steering Committee, Francis Lee Bu Sung, Chair of the TEIN*CC Governors Meeting as well as experts and scholars from the U.S. academia including those from the National Science Foundation participated in the meetings, reflecting a growing interest in the TEIN network as well as global collaboration projects using the network such as delivery of e-health.
The plans to enhance international cooperation for the TEIN Project (TEIN4), which was jointly proposed by Korea and Singapore in 2000 (TEIN2) and currently receives 10 million Euro of funding from the EC, and the framework for the 5th phase of the TEIN Project (TEIN5), one of the initiatives of the ASEM Summit in 2014, were discussed during the meetings.
