The Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI) hosted a kick-off meeting and an expert seminar for invitation counselling on 「Policy counselling for Moldova information security」at 10AM, October 31, 2016 (Mon.) at the meeting room on the fourth floor of the Korea Information Society Development Institute (Jincheon, Chungcheongbuk-do).

The invitation counselling, which was held from October 30 (Sun.) to November 5 (Sat.), 2016 as part of the policy counselling for Moldova information security, was attended by five public officials related to information security including Pavel Sincariuc, director of the information technology policy bureau of the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications (MTIC). For the duration of the counselling, the delegation from Moldova visited information security institutions to experience the status of information security in Korea and engaged in detailed programs for obtaining advice on information security policies by sharing the relevant knowledge and experiences through seminars.

At the kick-off meeting, Kang In-soo, head of the International Development Cooperation Group, welcomed the visit by the delegation from Moldova, expressing hope that this invitation counselling program will be an opportunity for enhancing understanding on the information security areas of the two countries and for discussing methods of carrying out consistent cooperation.

For the duration of the invitation counselling, the Moldovan delegation visited institutions related to information security, such as the National Computing and Information Agency (NCIS), Cyber Security Training and Exercise Center (CSTEC), Korea Internet and Security Agency (KISA), Igloo Security, and Ahnlab and attended seminars. Through the invitation counselling program, the Moldovan delegation visited sites related to information security policies and technologies in Korea, shared technical knowledge, and discussed major issues. A final workshop will be conducted, where suggestions for information security policies for Moldova will be drawn up through systematic approaches by reflecting the major issues that have been presented in the invitation counselling.
