The invited advisory, held from June 18 to 24, 2017, is part of the Policy Consultation on Informatization in the Public Sector in the Kyrgyzstan project. Five Kyrgyzstani officials in information in the public sector including Ms. Zhanna Il'ina of the State Committee on Information Technology and Communications (SCITC) participated in the event.  KISDI prepared detailed programs including visit to the relevant agencies and holding of the seminar so that the Kyrgyzstani officials can receive advice on the policy of informatization in the public sector during their stay. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the current status in Korea and share the knowledge and experience.

During the kick-off meeting, Lee Jong-who, Manager of the International Development Cooperation Group, welcomed the Kyrgyzstani officials and expressed hope that the program would be an opportunity for both countries to increase understanding of informatization in the public sector and discuss continued cooperation. During the seminar held after the kick-off meeting, Prof. Kim Byeong-jun of Kookmin University gave a presentation titled "Overview of Informatization in the Public Sector in Kyrgyzstan and Korea" and introduced the background and current issues of informatization in the public sector.

During their stay, the Kyrgyzstani officials visited NCIS, KLID, and NIA and participated in seminars related to informatization in the public sector. The Kyrgyzstani officials visited sites related to policies and technologies of informatization in the public sector, shared the knowledge, and discussed the key issues during their stay. KISDI will reflect the issues presented during the invited advisory for the local advisory and final workshop in Kyrgyzstan later. It plans to provide practical recommendations on informatization in the public sector in Kyrgyzstan through such systematic approach.
