KISDI and Cyber Communication Academic Society jointly held an academic seminar titled "User Protection Issues and Policy Directions" sponsored by Representative Byeon Jae-il and KCC at the National Assembly Hall on July 6, 2017.

The purpose of the seminar was to seek the policy direction to create a user-centered ecosystem for the intelligent information society. Discussed topics included the transformation of policy approach for users in the intelligent information society from the targets of protection (legal object) to the subjects of rights (legal subject), strengthening of self-choice, and upholding of user rights.
