Researcher Jeon Seon-min of the International Cooperation Research Division at the Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI, President Kwon Ho-yeol) was elected chairman of the Subcommittee of Management Committee on Asia Pacific Telecommunity (APT) Legal Instruments at the 44th Session of the Management Committee of the APT, held from 7 to 10 December. 

The Subcommittee of the Management Committee on APT Legal Instruments reviews all legal documents - including the APT's charter, regulations, rules, guidelines, etc. on issues related to operation of the APT - and oversees the APT activities together with the Management Committee. 

Researcher Jeon, vice-chairman of the subcommittee since 2015, has been awarded a plaque of appreciation by the Management Committee in recognition of her leading role as a member of the chairman’s group in reviewing the revision of the charter over the past three years. She is also vice-chairman of the Asia-Pacific Forum on Telecommunication Policy and Regulation, and was elected chairman of the APT WG1 Preparatory Group for WTDC-21 in July.
