The Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI, President Sangkyu Rhee) held the fourth session of the KISDI–Dongseong High School Education Program on July 9, conducting a book discussion for students at Dongseong High School in Chungbuk Innovation City.

The KISDI–Dongseong High School Education Program is a 10-session participatory education program designed to encourage students to explore social issues arising in the AI and digital era and consider possible solutions from a policy perspective. During the first three sessions, KISDI researchers delivered special lectures to help students better understand policy research and major issues related to the digital society.

The fourth session was conducted in the format of a book café discussion. Using reading materials on topics including the relationship between artificial intelligence and humans, social changes driven by technological advancement, and ethical issues, students exchanged views and examined key issues in the AI and digital era from diverse perspectives.

The discussion also examined the impact of AI technologies on individuals and society, along with related challenges and possible approaches to addressing them. Through the session, students explored issues requiring critical thinking and problem-solving skills in the AI and digital era.

KISDI plans to continue operating the education program to support students in broadening their understanding of the AI and digital era and strengthening their career exploration capabilities.
