Chairman Georg Serentschy from RTR (Rundfunk und Telekom Regulierungs GmbH; Austrian regulatory authority for broadcasting and telecommunications), Austria, visited KISDI on Oct 12 to discuss Korea's internet industry policy. The visit was organized on the sidelines of the 11th World Knowledge From (Oct 12-14).

KISDI Senior Researcher Sang-won Ko, Jong-hwa Lee, and Seong-hyeon Na spoke about wired/wireless broadband penetration, content development regulation, and government support measures in Korea, and led a lively discussion on internet industry strategies on the demand and supply side, and future development plans.

The visit of RTR is expected to serve as the stepping stone for further ICT exchanges and cooperation between Korea and Austria.
