The Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI) co-held 1st Workshop on Consultation on Spectrum Management in the Philippines with National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) on April 12 and 13, 2012.

The consultation team, which consisted of Dr. Bo-Hyun Seo, Dr. Dong-Min Yin of KSIDI, Dr. Kwang-Moon Park of ETRI, and experts from the Central Radio Management Office, looked into spectrum management policies, related industries, monitoring policies, and other current issues and had discussion on the current spectrum management in the Philippines and cooperation measures between the two countries in the workshop held in NTC headquarters.

NTC Commissioner Gamaliel Cordoba and Manager Pricilla Demition at NTC Frequency Management Division attended the workshop and had discussion on current spectrum management issues of the two countries, showing a great interest in the consultation project for development of spectrum management in the Philippines.

The consultation team also visited a regional radio monitoring office in San Fernando to research spectrum management system and facilities, and licensing for radio stations in the Philippines.
