The Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI) was visited by the Chinese delegation of science invited by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in celebration of 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and China, and discussed 'The History and Future of KISDI' and 'ICT Industry and R&D in Korea'.

 Dr. SungOk Kim of International Cooperation Research Division introduced the functions and role of KISDI in making ICT industry polices, and Dr. SangWon Ko, Executive Director of International Cooperation Research Division made a presentation on R&D of ICT industry in Korea and future policy direction. Discussion on cooperation in ICT between Korea and China followed.

The Chinese delegation consisted of science experts: You Xiaohu, Dean of Southeast University, Wang Jin, Professor at Tsinghua University, Tao Xiaofeng, Professor at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Wu Gang, Professor at UESTC, and Huang Xiuqi, Technical Director of Kunshan Visionox Display Co., LTD. The delegation made visits to KISDI, ETRI, KAIST, and SK Telecom to learn Korea's ICT technologies and policies.
