The Korea Information Society Development (KISDI) was visited by Telkom Indonesia delegation on January 14, 2013 and discussed telecommunications market in Korea and Indonesia and cooperation between telecom operators in both countries.

This visit, made at the request of Telkom Indonesia, was prepared to promote in-depth discussion with experts in Korea over cooperation between telecommunications operators in Korea and Indonesia. Dr. JongHwa Lee, Executive director of Telecommunications and Spectrum Research Division welcomed the Indonesian delegation headed by Arief Hamdani Gunawan by saying that KISDI hopes this meeting provides a meaningful opportunity to promote exchanges between Telkom Indonesia and KISDI. Mr. Arief Hamdani Gunawan and his delegates, in response, expressed the gratitude for a warm welcome and said he expects valuable advices on telecommunications from Korea and continued cooperation with KISDI.

In the meeting attended by Dr. JongHwa Lee and Dr. JeongWook Byun from KISDI, a presentation was made for the Telkom Indonesia delegation on its cooperation with Korean telecommunications operators and ideas were exchanged with KISDI experts. Dr. Byun presented on Korea's telecommunications market and regulations, which was followed by in-depth discussion on cooperation between Korea and Indonesia in telecommunications.

The Telkom Indonesia delegation said that the visit to KISDI paved the way for enhancing cooperation between Korea and Indonesia in telecommunications and promoting active exchanges with KISDI. The delegation also expressed its expectation for continued exchanges with KISDI by establishing cooperation channels.
