The Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI) held the first Workshop on Consultation on Spectrum Management at the headquarters of the Communications Regulatory Commission (CRC) in Mongolia on 23-24 March.
Korea’s consultative group consisting of Dr. Seo Bo-Hyun of KISDI, the director of the group, and experts from ETRI and the Central Radio Management Office (CRMO) introduced the current trends and major issues in spectrum management policies, related industries, management systems as well as monitoring and operation. The participants also discussed the current status of Mongolia‘s spectrum management and ways to further strengthen the cooperation between the two countries.
Balgansuren Batsukh, Chairman of the CRC, A.Luvsan-Ochir, Director General of Radio Frequency Regulation and Monitoring Department, and other Mongolian officials at the workshop expressed deep interest in Korea’s spectrum management sector and its current issues.
During the visit, Korea’s CRMO and Mongolia’s CRC also signed an MOU on free supply of Korean radio management system, laying the foundation for mutual prosperity of the two nations’ spectrum managent sector.
