The Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI) hosted a kick-off meeting and an expert seminar for invitation counselling on 「IoT technological cooperation counselling for Vietnam」 at the meeting room on the fourth floor of KISDI Jincheon at 10AM, August 29, 2016 (Mon.).
The invitation counselling, which was held last August 29 (Sun.) ~ September 3 (Sat.), 2016 as part of the IoT technological cooperation counselling for Vietnam, was attended by five experts from the relevant institutions, including Department Head Nguyen Hong Quan of IT Application in Vietnam’s Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) and Ms. Dang Thi Hoa of the National Institute of Information and Communication Strategy (NIICS). For the duration of the program, the Vietnamese delegation visited IoT-related institutions to experience the status of IoT technology in Korea and engaged in detailed programs for obtaining advice on IoT technologies and policies by sharing the relevant knowledge and experiences through seminars.
At the kick-off meeting, Kang In-soo, head of the International Development Cooperation Group, welcomed the visit by the Vietnamese delegation, expressing hope that this invitation counselling program will be an opportunity for enhancing understanding on the IoT technology of the two countries and for discussing methods of carrying out consistent cooperation.
For the duration of the invitation counselling, the Vietnamese delegation visited IoT-related institutions such as the National Information Society Agency (NIA), IoT Open Lab, SK T Open Lab, K-ICT Big Data Center, and KT GiGA IoT Smart Center and attended seminars. Through the invitation counselling program, the Vietnamese delegation shared technical knowledge on IoT technologies and policies in Korea and discussed major issues. A final workshop will be conducted, where suggestions for IoT technologies and policies for Vietnam will be produced through systematic approaches by reflecting the major issues that have been presented in the invitation counselling.
