On September 21 (Thursday), KISDI held a KISDI Colloquium session in the conference room on the 2nd floor of the KISDI building.
This KISDI Colloquium session was held to debate the role of IT in the governance of policies related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution and in what direction such policies should be pursued from a strategic perspective.
From the seminar, Kang Hong-ryul, a senior researcher working at the KISDI Department of Management Consulting was invited to give a lecture on the topic, ‘Digital Transformation: Understanding Industry 4.0 and the 4th Industrial Revolution'. During the lecture, he discussed the direction of IT policies pursued by current and past administrations, and how IT technologies are being used in various sectors of industry, and presented specific cases to illustrate his points.
KISDI holds colloquiums on a regular basis with a view to improving the capabilities of researchers and preparing for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It is also ready to actively contribute to the development of the related government policies.
