On November 22, Dr. Seo Bo-hyun of KISDI was presented with a distinguished service award from Asia Pacific Telecommunity (APT) at the Centara Grand Hotel in Bangkok.

For a period of five years, Dr. Seo worked together with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in hosting the 2014 World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-14, Dubai) and the 2017 World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-17, Buenos Aires). This award was presented to him by the management committee of the 41st APT in recognition of his contributions to developing and advancing the interests of the Asia Pacific region at these conferences through his activities as the chairman of the Asia Pacific preparation conference.
