On November 22 (Wednesday), KISDI held a KISDI Colloquium session in the conference room on the 2nd floor of the KISDI building.
This KISDI Colloquium session was held to discuss how to construct and utilize the ICT (AI, Cloud, Big Data, Blockchain) platform and the social/cultural changes that are likely to be triggered by the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Executive Director Choi Yun-seok of Microsoft gave a lecture on the topic ‘Digital Transformation Strategies and Cases in Response to Technology Trends'. He discussed ICT trends, cases of technology development by Microsoft and other key players, and ethical issues related to ICT. He pointed out that digital transformation will bring about rapid transformations of not only industries but also everyday life, and that people must prepare for the imminent social changes.
KISDI intends to regularly hold colloquiums to prepare in advance for the issues related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution and to improve the capabilities of its researchers.
